Andrew (Andy) Kushner is a life long South Jersey resident and has practiced law in Camden County since 1976. He received his BA (history) cum laude from Dickinson College; his JD from Brooklyn School of Law and his LLM (Taxation) from Temple University.
Andy has participated as an active member of the Camden County Bar Association, having served as past president of both the Association and the Bar Foundation and continues to serve as chair or member of numerous committees for the County Bar. For the past 25 years he has authored a monthly column for the Camden County Barrister about automotive subjects.
Andy’s particpation in Bar and community related areas extends to his service as both member and Chair of the New Jersey District IV Ethics Committe, which is charged with initially determining attorney disciplinary matters and has been appointed a Special Master to hear attorney disciplinary matters. Andy has also served as member and Chair of the District IV Fee Arbitration Committee which serves to arbitrate and resolve attorney-client fee disputes.
In 2007 he received the “Professional Lawyer of the Year” award for Camden County as awarded by the New Jersey State Bar Association Committee on Professionalism and in 2008 received the Camden County Bar Association’s Peter J. Devine Award, given to that member of the Association who has provided distinguished service to the Bar.
Andy regularly serves as a lecturer from both the Camden County Bar Association and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education to attorneys providing seminars in his practice areas. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Rutgers School of Law, Camden, teaching Professional Responsibility for the past 9 years.
Outside of the legal arena Andy has acted in local and regional productions for over 30 years. He is a founding member of the Ritz Theater in Oaklyn, New Jersey and continues to perform both in South Jersey and Philadelphia.
Bridgette has been a certified paralegal for twenty years, having worked in law firms and title companies doing bankruptcy, collection work, foreclosure, landlord-tenant, criminal, real property. She has worked with Andy since 2010 learning estate administration and planning from the “ground up” along guardianship as well as employing her skills from prior firms. Bridgette is instrumental in welcoming clients; arranging for conferences as well as performing legal tasks under attorney supervision. Bridgette’s role includes her availability if Andy is not immediately available to handle a situation and has the knowledge and discretion to provide clients with a level of comfort which is so important in attorney-client relations.
Bridgette is a life-long resident of South Jersey and resides with her husband daughter in Gloucester Township.
